'Speed Limit' began in 1991 when Tony & Angie decided to form a duo.

The photograph on the left shows one of our very first publicity shots.

The other two photographs were taken the following year in 1992.

Keep checking this site, more photographs are being added all the time.

Information and photographs of Tony & Angie

Why did we choose the name 'Speed Limit' ?

We were searching for a name people would remember.

Driving through the countryside we kept seeing road signs. Tony thought 'No U Turn' sounded pretty good, Angie liked the sound of 'Ducks Crossing'.

After a short debate, we chose 'Speed Limit' because Tony's got the speed and Angie has her limits.

Hey presto, 'Speed Limit' was born.

Question: Why does'nt Tony sing?

Answer: Because he woud have to stand up all night and use a microphone.

Question: Why does'nt Angie play an instrument?

Answer: Because her hands would not be free to mess with Tony's hair. Also she is not clever enough.

Question: Tony, is the instrument you play called a banjo?

Answer: If you want to hang it around your neck and pick it you can call it what you like.
