A first hand report on our holiday in Portugal March 2007 by Tom Harland MBE
I received my official pilot's licence from the CAA today. Many thanks to my instructor Chris and to Angie for making it possible. The interest and support I received from many of our friends was truly amazing.
My first flight with Angie is tomorrow, I'll let you know how we get on.
The sun was setting so we headed back to Chatteris and what could only be described as a 'greaser' landing (perfect). The other guys at the airfield where waiting in anticipation of my reaction as I got out of our aircraft. Tony certainly received a loud applause.
I gave Tony the thumbs up after he took me on our first flight together since receiving his licence.
I am extremely proud of him, he has studied and worked so hard to achieve his dream and I am so pleased to be part of that dream.
We headed for Hunstanton, by way of Wisbech, Kings Lynn, Sandringham etc. The North Norfolk coastline looked wonderful at 2000 ft.
It seems we pleased everyone, the music was great, the food was wonderful and the weather perfect. The staff in the 'Almansor Hotel' could not do enough for us.
Due to the remarks and requests we received, we are very pleased to announce that we are in the process of arranging another 'Fun in the Sun' holiday to the 'Almansor Hotel' in the Algarve.
DATES are 7th March - 14th March 2009 inclusive with an optional second week.

There are a number of things to do during your holiday with us.
You could swim with the dolphins, go quad biking, take a trip on the Galleon Ship (Pirate Ship) or simply relax in beautiful surroundings. A visit to Carla's bar in the cove is a must.
